1. What types of products can be processed through RTP Distribution Services? A variety of product types can be processed through RTP Distribution Services, including any non-inventory product such as admission tickets, phone cards, or value cards. Products can also be “bundled” together (i.e. a general admission ticket can be combined with a value card) providing you more flexibility for packaging your products and services for distribution.
2. How is RTP Distribution Services different from a traditional gift card processor? There are two main differences between RTP Distribution Services and a traditional gift card processor.
1. RTP Distribution Services allows you to sell more than just a value card; you can sell virtually any product type through RTP Distribution Services. (See FAQ #1.)
2. Unlike traditional processors where the usage/transaction data is stored by the processor, with RTP Distribution Services the data is stored in the supplier’s own operations or point-of-sale system.
3. How much does the service cost? Pricing for Suppliers is based on transaction volume and product type. Please contact RTP to discuss pricing for your specific needs.
4. What distribution partners can I sell products through? Since RTP Distribution Services is based on open technology standards, it can support almost any distribution partner. If RTP doesn’t currently have a pre-built connection or agent to your distribution partner(s), we can work with you and your distribution partner(s) on developing an interface.
5. How do I become a Distribution Partner? RTP is continuously looking for new Distribution Partners. If you are interested in becoming a partner, please contact RTP at 970.477.4800 ext 7.
